SPIRITUALITY

• The “Spiritual Director” has to offer the students a Scalabrinian Spirituality, not just a general priestly formation.
  – The Spiritual Director in our formation houses has the responsibility of offering every week, together with the general principles of Christian, religious and priestly spirituality a serious journey into the virtues and charisma of our saintly Founder , J.B. Scalabrini.
  – This “Scalabrinian Formation” should be required at all levels of Formation: Philosophy, Novitiate and Theology; without this specific element of Scalabrinian Formation, we are not forming Scalabrinians but diocesan clergy. (Then it is easy to leave the Community and join a diocese).
  – Here’;s a tentative idea for a Scalabrinian Curriculum. Other contributions should be welcome from the “Istituto Storico” of Rome and other seminary personnel.

• VIDEOS: Take a vision of the various areas of ministry in the Congregation.
• ACTIVITY: Prepare and Oganize the Liturgical Celebrations of the Congregation: (June 1 st , Nov.
  4, St. Charles, Novembre 28, the Foundation, 9 Ottobre the canonization) Other events: Day of
  Migrants, Stella Maris…..
• HOMEWORK: Write a paper on the impact of the Life of Scalabrini in your life.
  – Other topic: Obedience and Fidelity of St. JB Scalabrini to the Pope. –
